Chagford to host another “best small film festival in the world”.
The highly successful Chagford Film Festival, which received sponsorship from Blue Cedar Homes for its inaugural event last year, has announced dates for this year’s event which will run from the 27th-30th September 2017.
Last year’s four-day event was given the accolade of “the best small film festival in the world” by the producer of The King’s Speech, Gareth Ellis-Unwin.
With a line-up of eclectic films, special guests, events and workshops that culminated in a grand-finale with a spectacular street parade, the 2016 festival provided movie fans with a fantastic celebration of the world of film and cinema. Other festival highlights included Chagford-resident and comedian Jennifer Saunders who introduced her own Absolutely Fabulous film before taking part in a candid Q&A session afterwards.
Co-founder of the world famous Aardman Animations, David Sproxton, joined lucky ticket holders for a special lunch and Master Chef of Great Britain chocolatier, Grant Mather, led a workshop at The Globe Inn.
The 2017 festival promises to be just as exciting as the last, promising another diverse line-up of films, special guests and workshops to suit all ages.
