Whitelady Waterfall

Find it: EX20 4BH. 8.3 miles from Kelly Gardens.

Nestled within Lydford Gorge, the stunning Whitelady Waterfall is described as an ‘outstanding sight to behold’. Designed purely by nature, this waterfall is a prime example of river capture – where two rivers intercept, with one showing a greater force, forcing the River Burn in this instance to plummet into the gorge, creating this astonishing natural feature. Not only is the Whitelady Waterfall a great spot to visit for memorable photo opportunities and refreshing days out, it is also of huge benefit to the surrounding wildlife. It is a hotspot for many varieties of mosses and ferns!
