You do not have to go far to sample some Devonshire charm. The Millpool belongs to Stoke Gabriel, a waterside haven with tangles of  cottages and a quaint village quay. Only five miles away is the market town of Totnes, which benefits from a variety of independent cafés and restaurants, and is home to an eclectic mix of  shops and handy local amenities. The South Hams is peppered with stunning destinations, from the infamous Dartmouth, to popular  Salcombe, the unique River Dart and iconic Burgh Island. The area itself has won more clean water awards than any other district in Britain and is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Golf.

There are a number of impressive courses close by, such as Dartmouth and Bigbury, however the Churston Golf Club is a beautiful clifftop

The rugged beauty of Dartmoor is a welcome retreat.

Wildlife.

South Devon just teems with wildlife. At sea, you can marvel at the sight of seals, porpoises and dolphins at play, along with a huge variety of sea birds including the famous guillemot colony at Berry Head. While the Mill Pool itself boasts egrets and herons, the famous River Dart as salmon among its residents.
